Sponsor a Child
Sponsorship Questions
What does it mean to sponsor a child?
Sponsoring a child means committing to a regular gift that helps support a vulnerable child’s education, meals, and basic care. Your sponsorship is part of a broader effort that includes the child’s family, school, and community.
Definition
Can I communicate with the child I sponsor?
In many cases, you may be able to send simple, encouraging messages or letters. Because of distance, logistics, and privacy considerations, communication may be occasional, but it can be very meaningful. We’ll share what is possible in each context.
Communication
What happens if I need to stop my sponsorship?
We understand that circumstances change. If you need to pause or end your sponsorship, please let us know. We will work with our local partners to care for the child and, where possible, find another sponsor so that support can continue.
