A Day in the Life of a Child We Support. The sun rises gently over Kpando, a small town in Ghana’s Volta Region. Roosters crow, children’s laughter fills the air, and the smell of wood fires drifts through the community.

She wakes up before sunrise, helps her grandmother fetch water, and then gets ready for school—her favorite part of the day. At Hope Memorial School, Veronica’s smile shines brightest during morning lessons. She loves mathematics and dreams of becoming a teacher one day.

Afternoon Dreams and After-School Smiles
After classes, Veronica joins her friends to help water the plants at the school’s mini garden, part of Ryvanz-Mia Charity’s sustainable farming project. It teaches children about food production and responsibility while feeding the school community.
In the late afternoon, she studies under the shade of a mango tree and helps her grandmother prepare dinner. Her evenings are peaceful, filled with stories and laughter.
